About the artist

AlexSolo in his studio

Solo is an artist based in Armenia, working with watercolor, acrylic, and mixed media. His practice focuses on the emotional residue of memory, drawing from dreams, childhood, and urban solitude. Rather than constructing narrative scenes, he isolates fragments—spaces, atmospheres, and fleeting impressions.

His work is defined by restraint: minimal compositions, a predominantly monochrome palette, and sparse interventions of color that act as emotional markers. Silence, distance, and the presence of the city recur as underlying structures rather than explicit subjects.

With a background in design and art direction, Solo applies a disciplined sense of composition and reduction. His paintings treat memory not as a record, but as a shifting field where emotion persists after form dissolves.
